[15] The Gardener
How this works:
I'll be updating this post throughout my herb-growing journey. Scroll down for the older updates.

I was in the zone yesterday. Fiancé picked out his favourite herbs, and I got to work as soon as we arrived home from the nursery. There are two narrow window boxes outside, and I managed to fit in the thyme, oreganum, chives, sweet rocket, somph (fennel), and dhania (corriander). Unfortunately, in my over-zealous attack on Everything Not in Use last year, I'd donated the extra window boxes and pots to the garden refuse company. The remaining marigolds and lettuce didn't have anywhere to call home, so I had to rummage in the garage to find a container for them. Thank goodness for last year's gatvol me, because I managed to find two pots I hadn't binned.
Now we pray, cross all digits, and hope that our cats don't use my tiny herb garden as a napping spot or as their emergency litterbox.

Fiancé desired fresh garnishings for our dinner the other night. Now, I'm hunting for healthy herb saplings to plant. The nearby plant supermarket isn't the most reliable (all my previous herb purchases ended up diseased and then deceased), so I'll have to visit a well-known nursery a bit further away this weekend.

Fiancé and I went to a new nursery and bought as many plants as we could fit into the car. He was keen to decorate our home, and this made me unbelievably happy (I'm usually the primary decorator). It was a schlepp walking everything up to the top floor, but our five new friends, their respective pots, a giant bag of pebbles, and a 30kg bag of potting soil all made it safely to our home. Now, to plant them all in!

To celebrate my recent ventures into the city as a working woman, I bought myself a long-awaited money plant. I named him Roamy Harrington the First, and he lives on my writing desk. He's healthy but is busy outgrowing his original pot, so I'll have to find a replacement home for him to grow in. Soon.
